Hedge and tree maintenance

We take pride in delivering reliable and responsible hedge and tree maintenance services for communities across Devon.

Our team manages overgrown or dangerous trees and hedges on public land, ensuring roads, footpaths and public spaces remain safe and accessible.

We also maintain a tree database, monitoring the health and inspection status of trees in areas we manage.

Our services

Winter hedge cutting

We carry out hedge maintenance during the winter months (September to February) to protect nesting birds, in line with the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and Hedgerows Regulations 1997.

Tree inspections

Our trained tree officers inspect and manage trees in parks, highways, and open spaces. We take a proactive and risk-based approach to ensure trees remain safe and healthy.

Safety first

We act quickly where overgrown hedges or trees pose a risk to public safety, such as blocking roads or footpaths.

Environmental care

Our work respects buffer zones and avoids the use of harmful chemicals near hedgerows, supporting biodiversity and sustainable land management.
