Living and working in Torbay

Find out more about the benefits of living and working on the English Riviera.

We deliver over services to more than 131,000 residents and the many visitors to come to the Bay every year.

Torbay offers an excellent quality of life in a unique geographical setting with plenty of beaches and a warm climate. It is made up of three towns - Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. Looking over the beautiful Tor Bay in South Devon, each of these three towns has its own separate characteristics. Torbay is home to the English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark and is also part of the South Devon Area of Natural Beauty.

The resort is one of the most popular visitor destinations in the country and has a wealth of outdoor, cultural and leisure opportunities for residents and visitors. It is close to Dartmoor National Park, Cornwall and other areas of outstanding natural beauty, whilst still being near to other metropolitan areas.
