Team Leader - Waste (Disposal)

Employment Contract: Full Time - Permanent

Salary: £28,563 to £31,103

Number of hours: 40

We have an exciting opportunity within our Waste Disposal Service, we are looking for a Team Leader to join the team.

The Team Leader will be an integral part of the Tor Park Road depot team. 

Supporting the Team Manager is delivering an outstanding service to our customers.

The Team Leader will mainly work within the HWRC, but as required will expand their skill set to cover other areas on site as the business requires.

Key duties to include:

Most of the tasks are regular duties and will include

• Ensuring the HWRC is operational, clean and safe on a daily basis
• Supervision and work allocation/checking of HWRC team, assigning tasks. Providing day to day duties and direction whilst carrying out tasks.
• Complete site inspections
• Organise disposal and collection of recycled materials as required
• Operate weighbridge as required
• Be familiar with all aspects of the baling equipment and be able to carry basic maintenance and repairs as required
• Allocation and checking of work
• Work closely on a day-to-day basis with team managers and other team members to promote and ensure efficient communications at all levels within the team and service as well as between departments
